Cleaning and getting rid of the smell on the furniture with dog urine is very much possible. But the step should be taken quickly. Rags or paper towels can be used in the process of getting rid of the furniture with dog urine smell for soaking it and removing it. After that a commercially available dog stain neutralizer can be used as it contains enzymes which would break down and neutralize the urine. Undiluted or diluted form of vinegar (white) can be used or alcohol of full strength can be applied on the area and then allowed to soak it. It then can be rinsed clean. Full strength ammonia should not be applied but diluted form of ammonia can be applied. A good quality odor and pet stain remover can be used.
A good quantity of baking soda can be applied on the affected spot so that the bad odors get absorbed, which can then be vacuumed off. If nothing works out well, it would be wise to change the upholstery of the furniture which would not only give a new look to it but also would be odor free.
