For many of the owners of the dog, it is a tough decision to give them crates training. The crates will be equated with the dogs by many of the people for hours together when the dogs are alone as the owners could not find time to spend with it. This will be alright when the crates are a safe place for the dogs and they can enjoy their living in it and also be out of trouble when the owners are not in the house.

The two main reasons for the usage of the dog crate are that firstly, for prevention of the dogs from unwarranted behavior. When the dogs are left alone in the house without putting them in the crate, it will turn the house upside down which can be avoided by the use of crate.
Secondly, personal area for the dog can be provided by the use of the crate. The dogs are the burrow animals and often they desire to lie down in an enclosed area. The crates will thus allow the dogs to have a peaceful sleep throughout the night.
It is also vital for the dog owners to understand that the crate is a place for the dogs to relax and the same should not be given to the dogs as punishment. For small dogs it will be a safe place when the owner is not able to supervise it.
